What a band actually is
A soft silicone wristband with a Bluetooth beacon sealed inside. The client wears it; staff never touch it after admission.
Waterproof
IP67 rated. It stays on through showers and hand-washing, so nobody has a reason to take it off and lose it.
Skin-friendly
Medical-grade silicone, adjustable, light enough to be forgotten. Clients wear these for a full length of stay.
Tamper alarm
The band reports when it is opened or cut. Absence alone cannot tell a walk-off from a flat battery — this can.
NFC as well as Bluetooth
Staff can tap the band with a phone instead of relying on radio range. Two independent ways to prove someone was actually there.
Assigning one takes a few seconds
The id is printed on the band. Open the client in the app, pick their bed, and enter or scan that id. Reassign it to another bed whenever you like, or retire it if it is lost. There is nothing to configure on the band itself and no pairing step.
